Spring Break ’14

by Caleb Grabowski on March 14, 2014

Spring break! Woo! My first spring break. It’s pretty exciting, I must say. To sum up the experience thus far, it began this morning with a mid-term for my statistics course. Without getting too angry about, my blunder cunt of a professor bull-shitted her way through an equally shitty exam. It was so awful that she felt the need to curve the exam by 20%: AKA trying to buy the student’s love/respect with grade points. She can kiss my ass. I’m not letting her buy my respect or love, I’m many things, but I’m no whore. Okay … Well maybe a bit. But not when it comes to my GPA. If I earned a C on an exam, regardless of how terrible the exam was, I’ll keep the C – don’t give me your fucking charity. Even if the T.A. had to clarify that several of the questions were wrong on the exam… Needless to say, I lost almost all the respect I had for her…. Don’t write angry… Don’t write angry…

After the terrible, anger-inducing experience that was that exam, I had a three hour drive up 95, with no incidents, traffic, or dumb fucking drivers. So that was nice. The rest of the day was filled with Pokemon, cheesesteaks, and shit-talking through reality TV with one of my best friends. Good times all around. After quite the adventurous week, including an all-night bender before another mid-term (college!), this spring break may pale in comparison. I’m hoping this is wrong, but I still have two toilets to install with my dad on Sunday. Fun fact: Neither of us have any substantial plumbing experience.

Be sure to check out our episode this week, I’ll be diving into the Monday night bender, Blunder Cunt, and my recent exposure to reality TV, notably Impractical Jokers.

Movie of the Week:

Red State (2011) – Kevin Smith’s first horror movie. This movie induces chilling, uncomfortable feelings simply through human nature. There are no ghosts or demons. Nothing supernatural. Just the morbid potential of human religious fundamentalism. And that ending. Oof. So poignant. A damn near perfect movie. Check it out!

Favorite Songs of the Week:

–          “The Rains of Castamere” The National

–          “Bang Bang Bang” The Virginmarys

–          “We Built This City” Starship

I had an awful professor in college. As she was passing out the exam she was proudly telling everyone that NO ONE has ever finished one of her exams in the 30 years she’s been teaching. So, when one person finished the exam, she nit picked every single line of the exam, marked them off on the most ridiculous things she could find and they still passed. Forever more after that, our exams were upwards of 15 pages… and no one finished the entire thing again. Professors are the worst.

Good tunes – keep suggesting them. I live under a rock when it comes to music so I heavily rely on what other people deem good.

Sorry for the delay in response. I had this professor last semester, and I liked her. This only plays of the tragedy of our falling out. Although, she doesn’t realize I hate her. Unless she’s that good…..

Glad you like the music, will definitely keep posting suggestions 🙂

Ironically my statistics professor is quite bad at her job as well. She has decided to eliminate ALL tests this semester, other than the final, replace them with 6 take home quizzes, which are curved, ANNNNND drop the lowest quiz grade. Hahaha!

Dude, my stats professor over the summer was amazing. This lady, she sucks. But like yours, we’re all guaranteed As.
