Will’s Diet Challenge – Post 068

226.3.

No gym today for me, but I did well with food. I skipped the gym on purpose, plus I had an appointment I had to go to, so things kind of fell into place. I don’t want to overwork myself, especially if I’m doing that much cardio.

We just got done recording some segments for the site; we did two episodes of Dude Plays and one of Dude OMG. We haven’t set a timetable for when Dude Plays is going to come up, but it’s going to require a little production, first. Also we noticed that the save points are a little wonky for Walking Dead, so Cord actually had to replay a 2 minute segment, give or take, and actually made a different decision than he did the first time. Not sure how many times that’s gonna happen, but I hope not a lot.

I don’t know what to think about the game I played, yet. I’m not sure it’s a game I would play to completion just because it’s a lot of text and ambiance which I don’t know will play all that spectacularly as a show. If you’re interested in checking it out, though, it’s called The Lone Survivor. Cord, as we mentioned, is playing The Walking Dead: Season 1. Jonny is playing a game called Papers, Please which also may be a one and done. We’ll have to talk about it. There’s your peek at how we make our sausage.

Breakfast

Just tea for breakfast, again. I don’t think I ever got hungry until about 9. Then, waiting til 11:30 to eat sucked.

Lunch

Lunch was the same thing as dinner last night. I’d split everything in half, so the points tallied up to the same amount. In fact, all told, I still saved 3 points. To recap, it was grilled chicken, mac and cheese, and broccoli. I could probably eat that two or three days a week. I need to start bringing my lunch to work again because it’s so expensive eating at work.

Dinner

We ordered from a place called Primo Pizzaria. Isla got an individual cheese pizza, which Amanda cut up for her. Amanda had an Italian sub, which she said was only “okay” and I had a taco salad. I thought mine was pretty damn good, actually. I could probably get down on doing salads as a meal two or three times a week. The ranch dressing I use (for a basic salad) and bacon bits are really the only points I have to concern myself with. Everything else I eat on it is zero points–that’s good for a diet.

The weather is nicer than it has been in the past month or two, probably. We really enjoyed the sunshine and warm weather we got this past Sunday, and we’re excited about Spring coming up so things clear up, but at the same time, it sucks Isla hasn’t really gotten a great chance to play in the snow. Granted, there’s not a lot she could have done because she’s only been walking with any degree of confidence for maybe a month, so maybe it’s not the best time yet. Next winter, though, she’s going to be all over the place.

Speaking of kids, Amanda had the TV on. It’s still playing in the background. The show about the Duggar family, “19 Kids,” is playing in the background. I can’t imagine having that many kids. Especially all through natural childbirth. That’s just insane to me. That’s a lot of traffic. Anyway…it’s past 11. I gotta get to sleep.

Night, all!

Will
