Will’s Diet Challenge – Post 069

by Will Dutcher on March 11, 2015

I didn’t get home until about 4:45. Traffic here is getting worse every day, it seems. WTF? I didn’t go to the gym. If I’d gone, I wouldn’t have gotten home until after 6 pm and I’d probably have fallen asleep right when I got home. I’m going to try and get over there tomorrow if I can get out of work at a decent time. I’m a half hour over so far, so either tomorrow or Friday, I’m going to use that time up and leave a bit early. We’re having a company lunch on Friday, so maybe then…

I had a banana for breakfast. Zero points! Also had a coffee instead of a tea.

I was going to get a salad, but the line was pretty ridiculous. I settled on a little over a cup of chili and some saltines. I also bought a water with it, of which I had maybe a couple sips. I don’t like to drink all the water because the water bottle I get from lunch is the one I’ll take with me to the gym. I didn’t know I wouldn’t be going to the gym at that point in time.

We had surprisingly-diet-friendly breakfast for dinner. I made pancakes and a fried egg with some reduced calorie bread. I also made some bacon in the oven, but it burned the shit out of it. Google’s a liar: 15-18 minutes at 400 degrees my ass! Maybe I shoulda checked. Oops. Sorry, ADT. I didn’t intend for the alarm to go off from cooking. Again. My bad.

So last night I did not get much sleep, and neither did Amanda. Isla was up about a little before midnight–wide awake–and wanted to play. I laid the reverse way on the bed to help prevent her from climbing over us and hurting herself by falling off. She must have thought I was one of the dogs. She was patting my back and kissing my side and going “Baby!?” Granted, it’s so fucking cute, but c’mon Isla, can’t you be cute at 5 am, instead? She’s gotta get some sleep! For all of our sake.

I finished another chapter in my HTML/CSS book, finally. I’m just over the 50% mark, so now I think it’ll be a little bit of a slow crawl since I’m past most of the ‘basic’ teachings and I will be diving into more of the difficult stuff. Still excited, though!

For now, however, I’m going to bed. No telling how long until Isla wakes up, again. Night, all!
